DETAILED ITINERARY

5:30 AM Departure from Kolkata: The tour starts either from your hotel in Kolkata or from a location of your choice within the city. After meeting your guide, begin the three-hour drive to Godkhali, the gateway to the Sundarbans. A brief tea break will be provided along the way to refresh and stretch.

8:30 - 9:00 AM Board the Boat: After arriving in Godkhali, embark on a traditional boat that will take you deep into the Sundarbans – one of the largest mangrove forests in the world. As you cruise through narrow creeks and channels, keep an eye out for wildlife. You may spot crocodiles, water monitors, spotted deer, and a variety of bird species. If you're fortunate, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat.

During the boat ride, you’ll visit three watchtowers:

Sajnekhali: A scenic spot with a bird-watching tower.

Sudhanyakhali: Known for its elevated view of the forest and wildlife.

Dobanki: A well-known tower, often offering fantastic wildlife sightings.
Onboard Meals: Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and lunch while you cruise. The food will be served onboard, giving you a taste of local cuisine in the heart of the jungle.

4:00 - 5:00 PM Return Journey: After an adventurous and awe-inspiring day in the Sundarbans, head back toward Kolkata.
​
8:00 - 9:00 PM Arrival in Kolkata: You'll arrive in Kolkata by evening, filled with unforgettable memories of your Sundarban adventure.

Itinerary is subject to change / alterations as the visit to the various watchtowers depend upon weather and tide conditions. However, all watchtowers and destinations as mentioned in the itinerary will definitely be covered.

ESSENTIAL INFO BEFORE YOU TRAVEL​

Non-Indian guests must pay separately for Tiger Reserve permit fees.

Transport will be via A/C car or A/C Tempo Traveller, depending on group size.

Solo travelers are welcome – we’ll try to club you with an existing group.

Private tours are available upon request.

A minimum of 8 guests or equivalent cost is required if no group is available on your chosen date.

Full refund will be issued if we are unable to form a group on your booking date.

Date change option available in case of cancellation due to natural disasters.

No refunds for delays caused by vehicle/boat breakdowns, traffic jams, or other unforeseen issues not mentioned above.

Jungle safari routes are decided by the Sundarban Tiger Reserve and may change due to tiger conservation efforts or census.

Solo guests may need to pay extra for a private cottage if shared accommodation is not available.
